William Bruce Nelson, 82

William “Bruce” Nelson, 82, passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Bruce was born July 22, 1937 to Walter and Melvie Nelson in Hallock, Minn.
He is survived by Mavis, his wife of 55 years; daughters, Julie Smith (Greg) and Paula Oxford (Rod Criego); grandchildren, Brendan (Hannah), Ellie, George and Sam; nephew, Paul “Terry” Nelson; niece, Debra Raff and cousin, LaVonne Lundeen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Walter “Paul”, sisters-in-law Irene and Livy, niece Jenny and nephews Brad, Robbie and Brian.
Services were held at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, Thursday, Dec. 19, at noon with visitation one hour prior.
