Vincent Wallenberg, 94

Vincent Andrew Wallenberg, of Phoenix, Ariz., died May 9, 2021, at the age of 94.
Vincent was born Nov. 30, 1926, to John and Mary (Sandul) Wallenberg on a farm in St. Joseph Township, Kittson County, Minnesota.
He attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston, and served in the Navy on a sub called Montauk and then took up farming.
On Dec. 21, 1950, he married his wife at Zion Lutheran Church in South Milwaukee. Later the family moved to South Milwaukee and Vince worked at Ladish as a welding supervisor. In 1970, he left Wisconsin to start a fiberglass business in Phoenix. He ran Desert Sun Fiberglass for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and BBQing on his self-made solar cooker and used his boat that he kept at Lake Powell as often as possible.
Beloved husband of late wife, Lorabell M. Wallenberg; devoted father to: Kathleen (Fred) Hill of Rochelle, Ill., Gary (Loraina) Wallenberg of Mesa, Ariz., and Randy Wallenberg, of Phoenix; grandfather to: Jennifer (Lon) Herring of Decatur, Ill., Heather (Erik) Crawford of Rochelle, Charles (Gina) Hill of Wauconda, Ill., Charles (Laurie) Harding of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michelle (Anthony) Grafitti of Scottsdale, Ariz., Michael (Alicia) Wallenberg of Roy, Utah; great-grandfather to: Carter, Logan, Lexi, Easton, Canaan, Alicia, Shantel, Austin, Kyler, Jaden, Preslie, Garrett, Greyson and Gavin.
He was preceeded in death by: his parents, his wife, and brother, Ray.

A private family funeral service will be held on May 29, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix. Graveside service will be held on May 29, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix.
