Harold Lloyd Moose, 69

Harold Lloyd Moose, 69, passed away at home on his farm near Donaldson, Minn., on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022.
Harold was born in Hallock, Minn., on Aug. 14, 1952. He was affectionately known as “Moose” to his friends, “Butch” to his family. He was baptized and confirmed in the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Donaldson and grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1970 and from Moorhead Technical College in 1972 with a degree in accounting.
He soon decided that the country was where he belonged and returned to farm for over 40 years, retiring in 2012. He was a loyal fan of Minnesota sports and enjoyed playing golf with his friends. Harold was well-known in the community and will be missed by friends and family alike.
Harold is survived by: a brother, Howard (Nancy) Henschel; sisters, Betty (James) Lessard, Edmond, Okla., Maryann (Ron) Gold, Dickinson, N.D., and Myrtle (Eric) Turnquist, Wayzata, Minn.; a brother-in-law, Scott Houser, Bismarck, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lloyd and Ruth; stepmother, Doris; sisters, Connie Hamre (John Peoples and LaVerne Hamre) and Carol Houser; and an infant brother, John.
Funeral services for Harold will be planned for next spring.
