Betty Muriel Bradseth, 93
Betty Muriel Bradseth, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.
Betty was born July 2, 1930, in Bemidji, Minn., to Edward and Iva (Pearson) Peterson. She attended school in Bemidji and graduated from high school in 1948. She was united in marriage to Robert Bradseth on Nov. 25, 1950. To this union, six children were born. They lived in Minneapolis for a few years, but spent most of their life at Gull Lake Loop Road, north of Bemidji. In 2004, they moved to Hallock, Minn.
Betty enjoyed her church, family, friends, crocheting and knitting, counted cross stitching, baking, reading, crossword puzzles, puzzles and walking.
Betty was a stay-at-home mom for years and during this time volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, secretary, girls leader, V.B.S. worker and women’s group leader. She worked at various jobs including Bemidji Laundry & Dry Cleaners, Hardware Mutual Insurance Co., Red Owl Store, Minnesota Wood Products, and Control Data. She was also a caregiver to her husband. Robert passed away Dec. 23, 2007.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Charity) Bradseth, Chis-holm, Minn., Philip Bradseth, Delano, Minn., Scott (Barb) Bradseth, Blaine, Minn., Sandra Meyerson, Montrose, Minn., Linda (Jeff) Hane, Hallock; grandchildren, Anna, Tom, Alexis, Vanessa, Emily, Kimberly, Cally, Carol, Kyle, Molly and Claire; great-grandchildren, Ruby, Cohen, Caden, Cooper, Evelynn, Lucy, Lily, Isaac, Noah, Joseph, Micah, Holly, Kylie, Edward, and an expected great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 57 years; daughter, Carol Jean; her parents; brothers, Chester and Douglas; sisters, Hazel Peterson and Lura (Dolly) Israelson.
Honoring Betty’s wishes there will be no service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
