Lake Bronson Lions Ice Fishing Derby a success

The 39th annual Lake Bronson Lions Fishing Derby drew 119 participants, despite concerns earlier in the week about ice conditions. State park officials measured ice thickness at 21 inches on the lake and 18 inches on the channel before the derby, and reopened the beach and dock access points.
The winners from the derby are as follows:
Walleyes — 1st: Tyra Hanson, $150. No other registrants
Angled Northern — 1st: Jamie Pearson, 4.14 pounds, $100; 2nd: Terry Kukowski, 4.11 pounds, $75; 3rd: Silas Shablow, 4.07 pounds, $50.
Speared Northern — 1st: Shane Johnson, 3.08 pounds, $75; 2nd: Kaiser Kukowski, 3.03 pound, $50; 3rd: Kellen Johnson, 2.1 pounds, $30.
Angled Perch — 1st: Terry Kukowski, 1 pound, $50; 2nd: Chad Weber, 0.13 pounds, $40; 3rd, Brett Schmidedberg, 0.12 pounds, $30.
Raffle Winners: 1st drawing, Jason Potocek, $500; 2nd drawing, Kari Miller, $300; 3rd drawing, Kietn Johnson, $200.
Two Rivers Sportsman’s Club drawing: Adult lifetime license, Christine Wollin; Child lifetimes license, McCall Anderson.
