Bearcats hockey finishes season with loss to Panthers in Section play-in game

The Bearcat hockey team took on the Park Rapids Panthers on Tuesday, Feb. 20 in the Play-in game to make it to playoffs.
The game did not go the way we had hoped, but ended with something positive.
After being down 7-0 with 40 seconds left in the third period, Joseph Albrecht scored his first varsity goal to close out his senior year.
With the final score being 7-1, the Bearcats finished the year 2-24-0.

1st Period — Scoring: PRAHS – May Goal (even strength) (Vinge, Pinoniemi) 12:09; PRAHS – Pinoniemi Goal (even strength) (Hanson, Berdahl) 12:36; PRAHS – Ravnaas Goal (even strength) (Torola, Henry) 14:40; PRAHS – Hillukka Goal (even strength) (Vinge) 16:47. Penalties: None. Goalie Changes: None.
2nd Period — Scoring: PRAHS – Pinoniemi Goal (even strength) 4:36; PRAHS – Vinge Goal (even strength) (Hillukka, Pinoniemi) 5:16. Penalties: Hoverson, PRAHS (Tripping, Minor, 2.0 min) 6:10; Johnson, KCC (Hooking, Minor, 2.0 min) 13:11; May, PRAHS (Interference, Minor, 2.0 min) 16:53. Goalie Changes: None.
3rd Period — Scoring: PRAHS – Hoscheid Goal (even strength) (Wesa, Hanson) 14:34; KCC – Albrecht Goal (even strength) (Muir, Muir) 16:15. Penalties: Torola, PRAHS (Slashing, Minor, 2.0 min) 5:54. Goalie Changes: None.
