Kelly Burger, 57

Kelly Burger, Hallock, Minn., 57, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Her absence is deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have known her vibrant personality. She held the firm belief that “Family matters most,” and her life was a testament to this conviction.
Kelly was born on Sept. 26, 1966, in Hibbing, Minn. She was raised in Kennedy, Minn., and graduated from Kennedy High School in 1985. Kelly sought new horizons and moved to San Francisco, Calif., later that year. Her spirit of adventure next led her to Fairbanks, Alaska, and then to Fort Hood, Texas, before settling down in Hallock, where she established her home and raised her children. In her career, Kelly worked at various establishments, including the Farmers Store, Cenex, Anderson Pharmacy and Kittson Memorial Nursing Home.
A cherished mother of three, Kelly was a paragon of strength and resilience. Being a single mother and successfully raising three children was one of her greatest accomplishments. Her children, Danielle Burger, Brandon Burger, and Mathew Glad, were the pride and joy of her life.
Kelly is survived by: her daughter, Danielle (Josh) Burger; her sons, Brandon Burger and Mathew Glad; her mother, Karen Knutson; and her father, Wallace Knutson; she also leaves behind her brother, Randy Knutson, and her grandchildren, Aiden Burger, Sylas Parsons, Logan Burger and Genevieve Burger.
Kelly was predeceased by: her grandparents, Olga and Lyle Gilbertson, Cora and Harry Knutson.
Her warm smile, infectious laughter and love for family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A funeral service was held Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Maria Lutheran Church in Kennedy. Visitation was at the church for an hour prior to the service. Interment was in Kennedy City Cemetery.
