Clifford B. Johnson, 90

Clifford B. Johnson, 90, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Cliff was born in Hallock, Minn., on Oct. 7, 1934, the son of Swan and Anna Johnson, youngest of 12 children. He served in the U.S. Army in France from May 1957 to May 1959 and has since proudly represented his service brethren when called upon.
Cliff was employed in road construction in the Minneapolis area and later had his own trucking business. Always wanting to keep busy, his appreciation of the outdoors led him to create side businesses such as firewood supply and, after retirement, lawn maintenance. He was thrilled with the special pleasure of assisting his friend, Kirsten, with her farm and property maintenance over many years.
A love of wood working and feeding birds from crane to cardinal led to a passion for creating birdhouses and birdfeeders, and he delighted to share these creations with friends and family.
Cliff was a very sociable person. He loved having his morning coffee time with his friends. He loved sharing many stories from childhood and was immensely proud of five brothers who served at the same time during the war.
Very recently, he enjoyed his trip to his birth city and visited with acquaintances, loved ones and friends.
He is survived by: his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Pat; his daughters, Denise (Michael) Howard, Kris (Joey) Trotsky, Shannon (Chad) Skartvedt; and his grandchildren, Alex (Sara), Amelia, Rachel and Cole.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 4, with visitation at 10 a.m., at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 155 Cty. Rd 24, Wayzata, Minn.
In lieu of flowers , a donation to your favorite charity is suggested.
