Lloyd Wendell Erickson, 91

Lloyd Wendell Erickson, a devoted husband, loving father, proud veteran and hardworking machinist, peacefully returned to his heavenly home on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025, at the age of 91.
Lloyd was born on Oct. 13, 1933, in Kittson County, Minn., to Harry Erickson and Edna V. Erickson (née Hemmingson). He grew up with strong Midwestern values of family, faith and hard work that stayed with him throughout his life.
In 1956, Lloyd was inducted into the United States Army and served honorably during the Korean conflict. Following his service, he relocated to California, where he built a career as a skilled machinist. He retired after 30 years of dedicated work at American National Can in San Leandro, Calif.
Lloyd was first married to Nellie Erickson (née Lira) in 1963, with whom he had one daughter, Wendy Erickson. He later married Lorie Erickson (née Russ), and together they shared many years filled with love, laughter and deep companionship.
Lloyd will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast integrity and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He was a great father, husband, grandfather and friend—always ready with a helping hand, a word of encouragement or a gentle smile.
He is survived by: his wife, Lori; his child, Wendy Fruit; grandchildren, Gabrielle Gordon, Spencer Gordon and Ian Gordon; extended family; and many dear friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Harry and Edna; and other beloved family members.
A private memorial service will be held by the family. His life was a testament to duty, kindness and quiet excellence. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
