Commission hears of road concerns in Springbrook
By Anna Jauhola
Commissioners heard from a Springbrook Township resident about the need for improvements on gravel roads. Justin Dagen, who farms in the township, shared printed photos of how gravel roads have been flattened out instead of rounded into a crown.
“Over the last four years, things have gone pretty well, until this year,” Dagen said. “There was a noticeable change and all of the citizens of the township recognized it.”
Dagen acknowledged the motor grader operator for the area has done a good job over the last five years, especially for having learned on the job how to manage the road. And he said he’s reached out to the operator and had a good rapport with him, asking for help in sections when the roads were a little rough.
