Lancaster holds special meeting to sell sports complex to school district for $1

In a special meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Lancaster City Council turned over city property to the Lancaster School District.
Councilor Kevin Grabow-ska motioned to approve the resolution to sell the city’s sports complex to the school district for $1. Councilor Krista Matthew seconded and all voted in favor.
According to the resolution, the city purchased the land in 1978 to develop the sports complex, which consists of a football field, crow’s nest, baseball field, dugouts, concession stand and bathrooms.
