Nancy Leah (Berg) Coleman, 77

Nancy Leah (Berg) Coleman, 77, of Minneapolis, Minn., died on Sunday, April 12, 2020.
Nancy, daughter of Mervin and Lillian M. (Courtney) Berg, grew up in Hallock, Minn., graduating from Hallock High School. She attended and graduated from Moorhead State University.
She helped start the Tubman Chrysalis Women’s Center in Minneapolis and was a substance abuse counselor for 30-plus years at Park Nicollet Medical Center’s Mental Health Department in St. Louis Park, Minn.
She also volunteered at Birchbark Books in Minneapolis.
She was a published playwright and poet, as well as author of many magazine articles on chemical dependency treatment.
She is survived by: brothers, Timothy Berg, Hallock, and Terry Berg, North Branch, Minn.; sister, Jeri Kilpatrick, Oak Point, Texas; children, Tomkin Coleman, St. Paul, Minn., Jennifer Courtney Coleman, Portland, Ore.; and loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Thomas Edward Coleman; sister, Kathleen Berg; and brother, Kelly Berg.

    Nancy was a very caring friend to so many, from Hallock, where her Mother was a nurse for many years.She has so many caring accomplishment to her credit. She started many worthwhile causes that benefited so many. A special friend to my sister Clellie, also from Hallock. Her smiley face will be remembered and missed by many!
