The Lancaster School Board met on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
In regular business, the board:
• Approved calling for bids on an SUV the district already owns, and plans to replace that vehicle.
• Approved a TC Energy Foundation grant for $2,500. This money will be used to buy handheld radios and a water fountain with a water bottle filler to be placed by the west gym.
• Accepted two donations – $1,000 from the Minnesota Vikings Football; $5,000 from an anonymous donor for the meals program.
• Approved hiring Rod Hennen as the head hockey coach for this season.
• Approved a donation of sick leave and paid-time off days for Autumn Schindele.
• Approved the first readings of several policies and the school’s crisis management plan.
• Approved the final readings of the eLearning plan and several other policies.
• Heard the health inspection report for the kitchen, which came back as the best ever due to several upgrades and improvements.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. This is also the district’s Truth in Taxation meeting.
