Bearcats defeat Roseau Rams
By Trent Jerome, coach
On Tuesday, Dec. 13, the KCC boys basketball team headed east to take on the Roseau Rams.
The Bearcats came into the game 0-2 and the Rams were 1-2. Right from the jump ball, the Bearcats were ready to play.
KCC scored on four straight trips while feeding the big man Kaden Vig. Roseau decided to switch to zone, which allowed for the Bearcats to get hot from the three-point line.
The Rams worked tirelessly on offense to try to keep up with the scoring pace of the Bearcats in the first half. KCC continued to score in the paint, in transition, and from the three-point line up until half time.
At the break, the Bearcats led 37-21. KCC came out of the half continuing right where they left off. Ty Vig and Braden Faken continued their excellent shooting from deep to keep the Bearcats dominant lead. KCC was able to demonstrate great ball movement, which allowed for solid looks at the hoop for higher percentage shots.
