KC kindergartners share their favorite play time activity

For 30 minutes each school day, kindergarteners at Kittson Central play. They choose where they would like to spend their time among centers that are set up around the room. Some centers are set up for imaginative play. Others are set up for creative expression. Students’ ability to problem solve, develop spatial awareness and work on fine motor control are challenged at many of the centers. In all of the centers, the students’ ability to regulate their emotions, work with others and be independent are fostered.
