Council follows through with citizens’ concerns
By Anna Jauhola
Lake Bronson City Council followed up on citizens’ concerns from November during the regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 15, starting with a bill from a drainage project.
Ron Austad told the council last month that he had larger rock placed in the city-owned drainage ditch by his home on River Street. This was a project originally paid for by the city a few years ago, but used much smaller rock.
“I talked to Ryan (Rector) who was the mayor at the time this was done, and he said he does not recall anything said about rock size at all. Zero,” said Mayor Bobby Schmiedeberg during last week’s meeting. “I talked to Patrick (Anderson) who said he did request bigger rock, but there was no bigger rock.”
Apparently, it was determined earlier this fall that the original rock laid a few years ago worked just fine.
