Kennedy VFW building gets facelift

THE KENNEDY VFW BUILDING is getting a facelift. The building also houses the Kennedy Cafe and KODA Bank. This entire complex was originally built about 50 years ago and the exterior definitely needed an update, said Danny Lundberg, VFW gambling manager. The windows were in very poor condition and many have said “only slowed the wind down a little bit.” The VFW’s gambling funds were recently approved to cover the exterior improvements. Those funds covered the original project bid from Billy Thorsteinson Construction, but Lundberg said there were a few things needed that weren’t in the bid.
