Lake Bronson Council to address dilapidated trailer along main road

Half a dozen people from the public attended the Lake Bronson City Council meeting on Monday, Nov. 17. From a ditch issue to water issues to dilapidated property, the council heard complaints and listened to concerns.
Resident Cindy Adams, who is also director at the museum in Lake Bronson, presented pictures of a dilapidated property in town. The trailer house in question has no windows and most recently, during high winds, the tin roof ripped back.
“Every person that walks into the museum sees this as they leave,” she said. “And now, the pink insulation is blowing all over the place.”
She also noted the issue has been addressed with the council multiple times with nothing done. Councilors said Darrin and Daryll Foss, who own the property, have said they plan to remove the trailer, but it’s a matter of where to take it and the accompanying debris. Mayor Bobby Schmiedeberg said the landfill will take that type of debris and it’s about $50 per ton. There is also the possibility that someone is interested in taking the trailer frame to use, but that’s not for sure.
