Lancaster School receives great audit report for 2024-25

By Anna Jauhola
The Lancaster School Board approved the 2024-25 annual audit, which came with a glowing report for those who worked with the auditor.
“Your business office nailed it,” said Sarah Horak of BradyMartz. “ Your revenue budget was within $15,000 of actual. That’s an amazing job.”
She said with the ever-changing funding formula from the state and beyond, and new revenue streams, it takes a lot of work to get the revenue budget as accurate as possible.
For the expenditure side of the district’s budget, Lancaster came in under budget by $224,000.
“I think the district pretty much projected to break even when they did their budget, and like I said, you’re up $189,000. So, a very nice job on the budget,” Horak said.
