Oscar Donald Erickson, 97

Oscar Donald Erickson, 97 of Minnetonka, Minn., passed away Oct. 16, 2021.
He was born in Hallock, Minn., on Sept. 24, 1924, to Mathias “Matt” and Hilda Maria “Mary” Erickson.
He was the last surviving male member of the Hallock High School Class of 1942.
He was a WWII Army Veteran and received his engineering degree from North Dakota Agricultural College (now North Dakota State University) in August 1946. He was retired from Northern Ordance Division of FMC Corp in 1987. Oscar enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
He is survived by: nephews, Dennis Winge (Pam), Donaldson, Minn., Gary (Margerette) Dahlgren, Kali-spell, Mont., and Randy Dahlgren (Christine), Davis, Calif.; grand-nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Jean; parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabel (Marvin) Winge, Della (Vincent) Dahlgren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 115 Wayzata Boulevard West, Wayzata, with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
